Dear Ric:

I, too, noticed the "beta" misnomer, which is quite commonly misused at the hospital by people who should know better. However, in order to avoid being a PITA, which I am known to be by those who work with me, I withheld comment.

I'm glad there are other PITAs out there.

A wise mfm fellow from my training, Cindy Brumfield at the University of Alabama in Birmingham always said, "I'd rather have a compulsive doctor than a smart one." Well, I know I'm at least compulsive. . .

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
