Dear Listmates, Does anyone have any information about the rumor that Spacelabs Medical has recently made an offer for or has purchased Advanced Medical Systems of Hamden, Connecticut??? Advanced Medical is a vendor of perinatal information systems, fetal monitoring equiment and supplies, etc. with a long track record in the OB field. I am wondering what the implications are for a merger/acquisition by Spacelabs (if this rumor is true)????? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
