Vivienne, agree with Malcolm, might want to look for alternative contributing factor to abnl coag profile in nonthrombocytopenic PET. Particularly if PTT is the coag test that's prolonged. This may represent evidence of APS (anti- phospholipid syndrome) - not infreq assoc with PET (usually early onset {pre- term} PET). Any hx of RPL (recurrent preg loss), throbomboembolism, livedo, cardiac valve lesions, or autoimm hemolytic anemia? Might check to see if the PTT (if prolonged) corrects with factor replacement, and included an ACA (anti cardiolipin AB.) Terry Jones
