Dave, don't hold me to this but to the best of my memory 10mg Provera has a similar progestional effect on the endometrium as 200mg Micronized Progesterone (MP). Malcolm Whitehead wrote some excellent papers on this about 6 years ago. I beleive that this reference is in the PEPI article that I referred to in a previous post. The PEPI study also showed that MP had a less adverse effect on cardio lipoproteins than did Provera. My references are in storage so I am not able to give you the specific references. Perhaps one of the acamadicians, like JOE THE MAN, will be able to look them up. Happy searching. Regards, Peter Cap'n Pete -- Peter V. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
