I believe that scuba diving is contraindicated throughout pregnancy. The reasoning is that we do not know how the foetal circulation handles the nitrogen in solution at higher pressures, and how well it "de-gasses". The concern is that a nitrogen embolis could occur in the foetal circulation and cause damage in an asymptomatic mom. I guess this means that before circulation is established that diving would be ok.
