Hi, charlie, i thought it would be worthwhile "re-introducing" myself now that there is a greater chance of meeting you f2f.

i am an rn on ob at district one. i am also a long time midwife supporter (was ob supervisor at hcmc years ago) and the one that originally connected brant and tom with the grad program at the u for student placement, which they liked and led to hiring natalee and now is history.

i remember telling natalee when you first started doing occ call for brant and tom that i had a sense from your occassional posts to the ob-gyn list that you would be a "good guy ob" and now as things turn out, you are the back up and everything i hear from natalee, cathy and mary affirms my initial sense. so I just wanted to say, welcome, and i look forward to meeting you f2f.

i am also hoping in the next six months to start the cnep program to get my mastern in midwifery, as i now have an empty nest(at least the last time i looked, but i suspect that will be an on and off thing for a while) at home and am ready to start the second half of my life.

ps, i thought about cytotec, too, and was on when our 33 demise came in the last time, a basket case, and more than ready to get it over. i am originally from calif and there the practice was more to let demises go into spont labor for a variety of reasons, physiological and psychological, and i do think it is a good thing, but when the need to have it happens is there, i wish we had an easier way to do it. i have been passing on notes about this from the midwife list to natalee for a while. i would like to see someone try it for inductions when indicated, to see if it works as well as others say it does.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
