I'd be interested in others counselling suggestions in the following situations: Patient 7w pregnant, non-VZ immune is exposed to daughter with chicken pox. Another Doc checks for Ab's, finds none and gives 1g VZIg. One week later the woman breaks out in a limited chicken pox rash (about 15-20 spots) with some slight systemic symptoms, resolves within 14 days. You see her at 19+ weeks, normal fetal anomaly scan and she asks how likley is her baby to be abnormal? Second scenario: Say now she doesn't consult Doc when rash breaks out, awaits spontaneous resolution, which is uneventful, and presents once again at 19+ weeks with a normal anomaly scan. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
