Re: Abdominal pain and 14 weeksFrom: David A. Nagey (dnagey@welchlink.welch.jhu.edu)Wed Oct 23 18:07:08 1996
I would start by attempting to empty her bowel - an enema most likely - if that did not resolve her pain (I would have sent stoll for evaluation for parasites) I would try to localize her pain - if diffuse, would get abdominal xrays (flat& upright) - actually, I'll do this prior to the enema - and refeat afterwards if the pain persists - then I'd stop to think some more. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
