>> Crisco is a brand name for hydrogenated vegetable oil. It is a cooking ingredient used in lieu of butter or lard, primarily in baking. It clogs the arteries quite efficiently, but makes a very light and flaky pie crust. It is also used as a sexual lubricant in some circles (most notoriously at so-called "Crisco Parties"). As with all oil-based lubricants, it degrades latex. Thus it is contraindicated for use with condoms, diaphragms, cervical caps, etc. Cheri Van Hoover, CNM Kaiser Hospital Redwood City, CA

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
