>From messages in this thread, one can create a database
of gynecologists (in states where this is legal) who perform very late 2nd trimester terminations. I don't suppose they have been asked if they want to be in such a database. This is not kind.

I don't think the list is archieved, at least not in a form searchable on the Web. (Geff?) If it was, it would not be kind at all (to write these names without asking them).

But I guess it's futile to fight against the inevitable - the evolution of the Net will make all kinds of odd databases possible, for good and bad. Some European countries, including Sweden, has laws against the creation of databases with information listed to names/persons (even only a handful) without permission from the 'Data Inspection'. Such laws are a joke, they can't be enforced. and will change little. (And really, suppose there is a law prohibiting information on credit reliability more than five years old. If I were going to lend a lot of money to someone, I would very much like to know if this somebody happened to go bancrupt on his creditors *ten* years ago.)

Someone mentioned some ongoing cancellation attacks on Usenet (there have been several before - the most well known cancellation/ restoration wars have involved the Scientologists). I also heard about this, and that inormation/debate on abortion is one of the targets.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
