ruptured uterusFrom: DOCJOE2855@aol.comSun Oct 13 12:03:26 1996
just for your perusal and data bank, had a pt with a ruptured uterus last night trying for a vbac after 2 sections. she tried, got to 7cm with epidural. let epidural wear off finally gave her very small dose of pit for an hour...no pregress, called a repeat cs and abdomen full of meconium, 3cm rent in uterus at previous site? "bubbles" seen at laparotomy at site of previouse wound, bladder and terrific amount of edema of bladder and adnexae. did metroplasty because it was technically better to me because of the most massive edema i have ever seen in 37 years of ob. comments? docjoe2855@aol.com joseph stern, md

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
