Since starting LEEPS about 5 years ago, I have done about 110 in my office and about 3 in the hospital OR. Only one problem case in the office; one patient had vigorous bleeding not responding to cautery or monsels solution. Luckily she allowed placement of a single suture at 12:00 which stopped the hemorrhage. I was worried, but the patient was not! In our community, all the gynecologists (9) are performing them in their offices.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
