Dear colleague,

I think that a clear discharge is an important signal, as the blood discharge. Is it from an unique duct or from several ducts? It appears only during the expression or without the expression too? We can not rely in a negative citology of breast dischage. We can rely only when positive. I do not agree with ductography, because the doubt will persist ( intraductal papiloma?intraductal carcinoma?) You have a normal mammogram but I will do a surgery ( exeresis of the duct ) in this patient. With my regards Dib

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
