Premature MenopuaseFrom: CNMPAT@aol.comTue Jul 30 20:43:19 1996
Is there much documentation for the claim that tubal ligations are related to premature menopause. Any specific articles that can be cited? Do you include this as part of your Infomed Consent, especially for a young woman in her late teens or early 20's ? FYI: ((In WA state, anyone 18 or older can have a tubal ligation)). The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
