IUD and actinomycesFrom: Francisco L. Romero (fromero@adam.es)Tue Jul 30 16:07:29 1996
Recently i took out a IUD from an assymptomatic young woman because she has Actinomyces in the PAPsmear and treated with ampicilina. However, other gynecologists here in Barcelona don't take out the IUD just only give ampicilina. Here we have no a standard management. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
