Re: Indications for IndocinFrom: John Robertson (jgmr@unixg.ubc.ca)Mon Jul 22 09:46:39 1996
AFI = Amniotic fluid index, a measure of the amount of fluid around the baby. There are tables for normal values. I am a little unclear about your use of Indomethacin. You say one of the contraindications to use is gestational age over 34 weeks (which I agree with for the stated reasons) however you go on to say you treat patients up to 37 weeks. Please explain. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
