Re: are you a litiganist?From: Dr Vivienne Souter (viv@tattoo.ed.ac.uk)Tue Jul 9 14:18:54 1996
On 08/07/96 Mark Decker wrote: why do you and your colleague want this info.?? legal case. are you a litiganist? this is a list for medical personnel for medical discussion. be kind enough to state your "credentials" and the angle from which you arfe asking this question. your dearth of information as to the reason for your question is most often seen by me <in such "forums"> when the questioner is a litiganist trying to not identify themselves. You really made my day (especially after the weekend I've had on call)! I am a research fellow and Specialist Registrar in O & G (analogous to a senior resident for those on the paranoid side of the Atlantic) In answer to your other question, I recently started an obstetric journal club at work and amnio infusion was the subject of the discussion last week. One of the other trainees had seen this technique used (very successfully) at another hospital but there was concern amongst the ranks about complications. One of my consultants was keen to get any references citing specific complications, hence my question for discussion. Sorry about the delay in answering your query: unfortunately I have been incarcerated in the Labour Ward at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for the past few days. V.L. Souter Research Fellow/Specialist Registrar Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh E-mail: V.L.Souter@ed.ac.uk PS If you have any concerns about my credentials ask Geff Klein why he still owes me dinner! PPS - Is the word not "litigant" anyway?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
