Re: 20 weeks with PPROM + previaFrom: Richard Lowensohn (lowensoh@ohsu.EDU)Tue Jul 2 11:34:36 1996
It really is possible to have rupture of membranes with a complete previa - I've seen it several times myself. The area of the placenta overlying the cervical os gets no blood supply, and the villi atrophy. This leaves a somewhat thickened, rigid membrane which can rupture. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Lowensohn, M.D. | Developer of OB-Link ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dept of Ob/Gyn | Electronic Obstetrical Record ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oregon Health Sciences University | E-mail: lowensoh@ohsu.edu On Mon, 1 Jul 1996, R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
