Ashley, I recognise the situation you're describing but I always thought that placenta previa didn't exist by definition until the lower segment was formed ie later than 20 w. I think a vaginal scan is an excellent idea to clarify the situation and can't carry much risk.

I agree with the others that conservative management or vaginal Pg (mifepristone first?) would be appropriate.

What's the earliest gestation at which anyone on the list has to do a section for genuine previa anyway (maternal not fetal reasons)?
