please, remember the foreign colleagues

Dear Listers:

This list is an international forum, sometimes there are colleagues from places in the world where anglosaxon terminology is not very familiar. So, the use of abbreviations as "AWHONN" or "NRFHT" are not easy to understand for us. Sometimes, the reading of the whole text can help us to know what are people talking about, like the VBAC or the OCP discussions.

I know we are physicians and not writers, and all of us are tired of writting everyday the same things in our dayly practice, of course we use abbreviations like EPI for the PID, AO for the OCP, and some more like TPAL,EBA....

So, i should dare to ask all listers for a little effort in writting the full names at least one time in the letters in order to make easier for us the learning of your more commons abbreviations and the understanding of your docs.

thanks.

Respectfully:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
