I don't know if you got it in U.S. In France we have two products with ciproterone acetate. Diane 35 witch is considered as a contraceptive association 2 mg of cip ac and Androcur 50 mg cip ac. Diane is often use as a contraceptive on patient with moderate hirsutism. It is well accepted except it has effect on breast by making it grow, 1 size increase of the cup. If hirsutism is major, if there is no organicity or defiscence of 17-21 OH ase, then I give Androcur 1/2 cp/day, 10 or 21 days/28, associated with Diane or EE or 17B oestradiol. Depens on the degree of hisutism. People use to oder on 10 first days of Diane, or 5th to 15th day of the cycle. I don't agree with this protocole. Those who did that hoped they will help the ovulation. I think it is easier to use it as whe do for progesterone-like. As a progestatif, on breast pain, I like to use it for complementation on the second part of the cycle, 1/2 cp/day from 15th to 25th It is present also on an association destinated to menoposal substitution called Climene 2 mg cip ac and 2 mg 17b oestradiol. I think you heart about his implication on creation of hormonal induced hepatisis tumors. It has slow down the prescriptions here in France. Hope this will help you.

However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
