Pediatric DermoidFrom: nalbf@mainelink.netSun Jun 23 11:17:39 1996
Interesting case: 3yr old girl who had an abdominal CT scan because of abdominal pain that turned out to be due to strep throat. Incidental finding was a 3cm ovarian mass with a tooth in it, presumably a mature cystic teratoma. Any thoughts on whether it should come out now or later? Anyone with experience with laparoscopic surgery in pediatric patients? I await enlightenment. Jay Naliboff, MD Farmington, ME

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
