Mark, I appreciate your comments regarding external versions. To date, I have tried only one with the epidural but am anxious to try more with a regional block. However, I do have concerns regarding induction after version at 37 weeks. Are your indications simply the previous breech presentation despite the risk of moving back to breech are quite low? Also, ACOG would suggest that such a "elective" induction requires an amniocentesis for maturity. Do you perform this? I definitely understand your reasons to get the most of your epidural once it is in, this also has been a concern for me and hence my reluctance to use epidurals for versions. But I would be interested in your further comments and anyone elses opinion on the list. Thanks again.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
