Internet publishing as it SHOULD be!

To the List Members:

I've announced here before about the electronic publications on Medscape (http://www.medscape.com/). We just got one on the Women's Health arm of Medscape about the genomic mapping of Haemophilus influenzae (obviously, a human pathogen, including in women and children). What I'd like to call everyone's attention to is the way cool "Web-ness" of this particular piece, in that 1) it has color graphics, including a moving graphic; 2) it is peppered though it's body with website buttons, leading the reader to other totally unaffiliated but relevant sites; and 3) it has a bibliography and a medline.

I'm sure that there are other sites with similar 'goodies', but I think this one is close enough to a state-of-the-art (at least for the next 10 minutes or so) that everyone should take a browse though it if you have the time. THIS is what publications should do for you! No more 2 dimensional magazines! In fact, with movies, I guess you have THREE dimensional publications, right!?!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
