Despite all the supposed advantages for each shape for a specific type of prolapse, I generally find the most efficacious pessary is the one that fits that particular patient's anatomy the best. As far as easiest care, opt for those that allow coitus in general even if that is not your goal because these will drain most effectively and tend to be easier to remove and reinsert.
