If it were closer to 20 weeks, I doubt that it would be an abruption. In spite of what our radiologist friends tell us, abruption is still "3rd Trimester" bleeding. If she isn't in labor, I seriously doubt that she had an abruption serious enough to cause fetal demise. I would treat her the same as any other fetal demise i.e. induce with Prostaglandins.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
