Re: Continuous OCP'sFrom: Ronald Helm (ronhelm@ronhelm.seanet.com)Mon Jun 3 20:43:52 1996
Continuous OC's are fantastic if the patient is able to become amenorrheic and not have breakthrough bleeding. I have my wife on continuous Ovral and she is now amenorrheic for going on five years. She loves the amenorrhea, the endometriosis seems happy, and menses do not interfere with her competitive racewalking. Having "regular" menses seems almost as important to American women, as having regular bowel movements. How much money is spent by this society for laxatives, cathartics etc, to achieve the ultimate goal of "regularity" . ronhelm@ronhelm.seanet.com

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
