Mats: Your question was posed and the Subject was adenomyoma, not lieomyoma. In this country these are two different entities. You must distinguish one from the other. I strongly feel that far two many "wallet biopsies" are being performed on women in this country merely because a few, or many, small or large asymptomatic fibroids or adenomyomas have been palpated on pelvic exam or worse yet on an "ultrashit" study. I personally consider much of the ultrasound, whether ob or gyn ultrasound to be no more than Ultra-Babble.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
