Why in the world would one be surgically removing an adenomyoma in the first place? If I remove an adenomyoma, it is done for accompanying diffuse adenomyosis and it is done by total hysterectomy. Subsequent fertility therefore is zero. This makes no more sense than removing a solitary intramural lieomyoma! The recurrence rate, after this unneccessary surgery must be close to 100%, given the likelihood of diffuse adenomyosis.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
