Re: twinsFrom: DoctorJoe@aol.comThu May 30 10:12:17 1996
<<Hello all, Do you consider that a twin pregnancy increases the liklihood for congenital abnormalities? Do you offer a detailed 2nd trimester US simply on the basis of twins? Allen.>> Ca depende, Allen. Some people would say that monozygotic twins WERE a congenital malformation, and the babies should be studied closely for other problems. On the other hand, dizygotic twins are simply two babies tossed in there together. They should be watched for overcrowding... Of course, if you have two babies, you might consider that you have TWICE the possibility of malformations... so look twice as hard? ************************************************* doctorjoe@aol.com "All things are connected. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
