<<I have a 29 year old g2p1 now at 12 week's gestation who had a 5 cm neck mass biopsied and was found to have (well differentiated) papillary carcinoma. Her ENT wants to excise the thyroid and give therapeutic doses of I-131.

The ENT surgeon is out of town but I will be sure to ask if I-131 can be delayed until after delivery, since these tumors grow slowly.>>

I would vote for that wholeheartedly...

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
