As a military obstetrician I greatly resent the statement that " A military hospital and a good birth experience would seem to be conflicting issues". We provide the same type of care as the civilian community, we just happen to be in the military. I'm glad you and your daughter had a positive experience, and I assure you this is the rule not the exception.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
