Re: Placental abruption in PETFrom: David Nagey (dnagey@c3p0.ab.umd.edu)Wed May 22 15:22:09 1996
Chris Redman had 2 articles in the 70's and Sibai had one in the 80's showing that treatment of chronic hypertension did not reduce the incidence of perinatal mortality or that of superimposed pre-eclampsia. What happened to your lady is a shame - what was the hoped for advantage to extending pregnancy complicated by pre-eclampsia past 38 weeks? We would have induced her posthaste. David -- David Nagey -University of Maryland School of Medicine -dnagey@c3p0.ab.umd.edu - though an address at the Johns Hopkins Hospital is forthcoming 7/1/96

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
