> >In our hospital we are going to develop a multidisciplinar unit for menopause. It will be formed by Gynaecologist, Rheumathologist, Psycologist, special trained nurses and specialists in preventive Medicine. > >The problem is that we think it must be coordinate by gynaecologists. A gynaecologist must attend the first time the patient comes, stablish the protocol to follow and decide which of the other practitioners of the unit have to be consulted by the patient. > >The other opinion, supported by economical argues is that Preventive Medicine practitioners must coordinate the unit and stablish what to do with the patients, then, gynaecologist would be a branch of the tree limited to indicate SHT , ultrasound and genital periodic revissions. > >What do you think? >Have you got strongs argues for gynaecologist coordinate the unit? is there bibliography about this? > >otherwise do you think is better the unit be coordinated by Preventive Medicine Specialist? > >All opinions are welcome, thanks. >Excuse my bad English, I hope you understand what's our question. > --

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
