Ceredase patientsFrom: DR IRVIN J REINER (JDFH37A@prodigy.com)Wed May 15 16:32:57 1996
I have had one patient with Gaucher's disease who was started on Ceredase on the original protocol. She stopped the medication, got pregnant and had twins. Needless to say, her pregnancy, labor, delivery and post-partal course was a real text-book course in obstetrical trauma to me. Not so much her. Now she is back on it and is part of the protocol being run by NIH. She has told me that the two docotrs who are running the protocol are a Dr. Schiffman and Dr. Norman Barton. Whether they have any pregnant patients in their series is hard to say. Yes, the patient is Jewish. She is also a twin. The sisiter also has Gaucher's disease. Every time I talk to her I get an update on Gaucher's Disease like a CME course. Irv Reiner, M. D. jdfh37a@prodigy.com

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
