thanks...will try tampon..TV US of cuff at time of next bleed. and go from there. cysto also on the list.

not with this lady but I have a gal now at 37 weeks with on and off peri-rectal peri-perenial drainage since 28 weeks. first time had foul anaerobic odor and bacteroides grew out but not at all identifiable as invovlved with rectum on digital rectal exam. pointed and drained to the perineum about 2 cm below/outside of the labia majora and muco-cutaneous junction. admitted twice with it but on daily lod dose or treatment doses of amox or/and clinda as it quites and flares. heat and i&d used as needed. when todays drainage stops will deliver her and then hope this goes away otherwise general surg will work her up with scoping and be and the like and we may need to explore her. been avoiding that like the plague. damn would that be a bloody mess with no out in the third trimester. this wait and see plan has worked so far. she is highly inducable and was planning on it until it started draining again today. soon as she is quite..birthday time.

let you know how it goes.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
