Electronic publishing solicitationFrom: DoctorJoe@aol.comTue Apr 30 11:25:28 1996
To the list members: Medscape is looking for authors on topics related to Women's Health. If anyone is interested, give me a holler or contact the editor of Medscape Women's Health, Florency Huey at florence-huey@scp.com. Medscape has been named the number one medical source on the http://www, with Women's Health being their 2nd most popular journal. They also have a new journal on Menopause... for all you hormone jockeys out there. As an example, here's my very first attempt at electronic writing (we just wrote in regular text - Medscape did the HTML and stuff... way cool). Fire up your browser and go to: http://www.medscape.com/Medscape/Publishers/Medscape/WH/WH.9604.v01.n04/w50.pa storek/w50.pastorek.html#Extra I think it looks fairly neat. Think about whether any of you on the list (or anyone you know at your institutions, etc.) want to give it a try. It IS peer reviewed, by the way. And you can't beat the exposure... anyone on the 'Net can read your professional prose. Give them a look at http://www.medscape.com/Medscape/Publishers/Medscape/WH/. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
