Gadolineum in early pregnancyFrom: MNudel@aol.comSun Apr 28 01:13:13 1996
Anyone with any experience or knowledge about MRI with contrast(gadolineum) in early pregnancy? 27 yo G2P1 at 7 weeks gestation with a seizure disorder, unknowingly underwent a workup with contrast enhanced MRI at what was about 1 week post conception. Internist recommending termination. Patient wanting to do the "right thing". I'm wanting to find any info to give her. Literature search unsuccessful so far. Am leaning toward recommending TAB but would really like to have some data to back this up. Mitch

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
