Re: cesarian sectionFrom: David Nagey (dnagey@c3p0.ab.umd.edu)Tue Apr 23 21:07:43 1996
concerning the question concerning the time from decision to perform cesarean to starting the procedure, while the maximum permissible time is felt to be 30 minutes in this country, many places (ours included) go from decision to baby in less than 10 minutes on a frequent basis when required (like just about an hour ago). By the way, I believe the original reason the ACOG came out for the 30 minute rule was to provide their fellows with another tool to argue for in house anesthesia David dnagey@c3p0.ab.umd.edu

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
