<<Dear colleagues, I'm looking for a guideline about the slightest time to organize the operating theatre for a urgent cesarian section. Any suggestion for me? Thanks Enzo Esposito>>

I think the American College of OB-GYN recommends a limit of 30 minutes for a 'respectable' Labor and Delivery Unit... I think we've gotten babies out in minutes of arrival at the door, but that's not a programatic requirement. 30 minutes seems to be a fairly constant standard.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
