I will always offer elective primary C-section to a patient with a history of severe shoulder dystocia. Although my feelings on this subject are probably affected by the time I've spent in court for shoulder dystocia, this is the same care I would want for my own wife.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
