Hello Everyone. Can I pick your brains. We know that folic acid supplements of @ 0.4 mgms daily is suggested for low risk for spina bifida, and @ 5 mgms daily is suggested for high risk i.e. a previous child with SB. Does anyone tailor the dose for lesser risks e.g. a brother or nephew with SB? The risks are intermediate between low and high. Allen.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
