Re: Cochrane database

I have both CCPC 1 and 2 1995 on CD, and it sounds exactly like that described by Malcolm Griffiths.

I however find it extremely cumbersome and also most of the actual trials give a message "not in Cochrane format", which is very annoying. I am using it on a PowerMac, and am used to software running much more smoothly than this. I find the search facility very rigid and cumbersome.

I feel the main problem is that a rather primitive underlying database program has been chosen for the exercise.

That being said, the concept is superb, and should be developed into a much more widely available tool. It will not however sell until it is improved in implementation.

Darach

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
