This idea of not giving steroids after 35 weeks is dangerous. There is very little risk, and one does get quite severe RDS in more mature babies at times. It only needs a pneumothorax to occur in the baby and you have a life-threatening situation that could have been avoided. Regards, Darach

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
