To me the clinical arguments are almost irrelevant (though I practice univeral screening). Its just another case of the *%$#!?*&$%# HMOs meddling in the relationship between our patients and us. I think that you absolutely have a right and duty to report these egregious abuses of financial power over health care delivery! Beware though, you may be censured by the Blues.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
