I had a physicians wife undergo menopause after chemotherapy in her early thirties. She started HRT with Premarin .625 and provera 10 cyclically after 7 years. She did not tolerate the provera and dropped to 5 mg. We sample her to be sure her endometrium is OK at the lower provera dose and she's happy and doing well now 15 years from her breast cancer. I've also give topical estrogen to women on Tamoxifen who have severe atrophic vaginitis again with lots of discussion with the patient and the oncologists. They have been very grateful and I'm 3/3 with no untoward effects with their tumors. Mary in Omaha

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
