I think you miss an important point. what is the purpose of a list of stupid things that physician's say? Are we furthering obstetric care for our patients? No, we are stating that there are some times people say stupid things or are some things once thought likely in retrospect sound stupid later. I think we can all agree that some times physicians, midwives, patients, kids, parents say hopelessly stupid things. That list I am sure has some basis in fact, but it serves absolutely no constructive purpose.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
