Last week I said:

>>To keep things in perspective - the lowest BIRTHWEIGHT-CORRECTED perinatal mortality rate is right here in the US of A - our problem is CLEARLY that of too may premature deliveries.

to which several responded:

>A lot of people would be VERY surprised to hear this. I have seen no figures to support this statement

>Jimmy

Ditto! What are you basing this on, David?

!>> I will put up or apologize this week - I have several likely sources for what I thought was an accepted statistic - but the campus library is closed. In the meantime, best wishes to all for a very peaceful, healthy, stable and happy New Year.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
