there perhaps should be a new subspecialty of the ABOG - legal obstetrics. pardon my french, but these f***ing lawyers and courts have basically outlawed the practice of obstetrics. soon ob's will not be needed. midwives, fp's, and a few emt's, nps, and cabbies will do the normal deliveries and general surgeons will be called in for the sections. breeches and forceps are what distinguished the ob's from the others. since an ob has the same life expectancy as a peacekeeper in bosnia ( equating bullets with legal papers), he or she soon looks to duck for cover. since residents with single digit figures for breeches and midforceps are ill-prepared for independent practice, they will not perform these procedures.

hey folks, u reap what u sow.

happy new year.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
