Well, I suppose we are all products of our experiences; mine have obviously been different than yours. However, when I first learned how to drive a car, I saw a terrible accident in which an entire family was wiped out, but I still drive a car with great care and caution.

It is a wonderful skill and an option which should be made available as an informed choice for women who might want this type of delivery in preference to an elective surgery. I certainly would agree with that, but the legal environment in the US will probably continue to discourage breech delivery and therefore the hands on experience for the resident staff thereby perpetuating the practice. Guess that's what happens when lawyers and business start running medical practice. Gordon

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
